Dhaka College has recently signed an agreement to use FSIBL FirstPay SureCash mobile banking services. Under this agreement 22,000 students will be able to pay their tuition fees and other dues from hostel or home using their own mobile phones. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and the principal of Dhaka College, Professor Tuhin Afroza Alam were present during the inauguration ceremony which took place in the teacher’s lounge of Dhaka College. Secretary of Education Ministry Md. Sohrab Hossain, managing director of First Security Islami Bank Limited Syed Waseque Md. Ali and CEO of SureCash were also present in the occasion.
The Education Minister praised SureCash mobile banking service. He said that, ‘digitized payment system is a good start for digital country like Bangladesh and I hope all education institution also starts using digital payment platform.’
Professor Tuhin Afroza Alam states that ‘FSIBL FirstPay SureCash Network allows Dhaka College to make a complete digital payment system. There won’t be any ledger copy to write down the tuition fees any more. With this online portal it is possible to keep tracks and record of any kind of transaction. Thus saving lot of time and reducing hassle.’
